What Me Worry? Tap Your Way Out of Stress!

March 29, 2010
By Leanna

The last few weeks have been a bit stressful for me with my husband recovering from total knee replacement surgery and my 86 year old mother with Alzheimer’s disease being admitted to the hospital with a heart arrhythmia. I have really had to listen to my own advice about taking care of myself, only focusing on that which I have control over, and paying attention to what I’m thinking and feeling so I could use EFT to manage my stress response.

Stress is a necessary, sometimes life saving, response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When you sense danger – whether it’s real or imagined – the body’s defenses kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight, flight or freeze” reaction.

When you perceive a threat, your nervous system responds by releasing a flood of stress hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones rouse the body for emergency action. Your heart pounds faster, muscles tighten, blood pressure rises, breath quickens, and your senses become sharper. These physical changes increase your strength and stamina, speed your reaction time, and enhance your focus – preparing you to either fight or flee from the danger at hand.

The stress response is the body’s way of protecting you. When working properly, it helps you stay focused, energetic, and alert. In emergency situations, stress can save your life – giving you extra strength to defend yourself, for example, or spurring you to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident.

But beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and starts causing major damage to your health, your mood, your productivity, your relationships, and your quality of life. The body doesn’t distinguish between physical and psychological threats. When you’re stressed over a busy schedule, an argument with a friend, a traffic jam, or a mountain of bills, your body reacts just as strongly as if you were facing a life-or-death situation. If you have a lot of responsibilities and worries, your emergency stress response may be “on” most of the time. The more your body’s stress system is activated, the easier it is to trip and the harder it is to shut off.

Long-term exposure to stress can lead to serious health problems. Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, contribute to infertility, and speed up the aging process. Long-term stress can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety and depression.

To remove the edge off the stress you are experiencing, try the following tapping protocol. For best results tap on your stress several times a day. You can tap when you first wake up in the morning, while you’re in the bathroom, waiting at stop lights, during your lunch break at work, and/or before you go to bed. If you need a “tap map” to show you the where the tapping points are, log on to http://www.lifeworkswitheft.com/tapping_points_for_eft.htm.

Tapping Sequence 1:
Karate Chop:
Even though I have all this stress, I still deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway.
Even though I feel stressed to the max, I accept myself and all of my feelings anyway.
Even though I can’t take another minute of all this stress, I accept who I am and all my feelings & thoughts

Top of the Head: I’m so stressed out
Eyebrow: I’m exhausted by all this stress
Side of the Eye: I’m tired of not sleeping at night
Under the Eye: I worry all the time
Under the Nose: I’m so tired of being all stressed out
Chin: I’m sick of having all this stress
Collar Bone: I want all this stress to go away
Under the Arm: All this stress is taking its toll on me

Tapping Sequence 2:
Karate Chop:
Even though I’m feeling all this stress, I choose to feel calm and relaxed.
Even though this stress is exhausting me, I choose to let my body relax
Even though I’m so uptight, I choose to let this stress go

Top of the Head: I choose to release my stress
Eyebrow: I choose to give myself permission to relax and feel calm
Side of the Eye:I choose to know my stress is there to help me be vigilant and on guard
Under the Eye: I choose to know I will be ok if I let this stress go
Under the Nose: I choose to release my troubles with stress
Chin: I choose to free myself from all this excess stress
Collar Bone: I choose to let my muscles relax
Under the Arm: I choose to let my mind be at peace

The EFT Movie Technique

March 24, 2010
By admin

Newcomers to EFT soon realize, as more experienced practitioners have before them, the wonderful results available when using The Movie Technique. As you watch Gary Craig work with clients throughout the DVD sets, we rarely witness a session that does not contain a wonderful example of its use. But why is it such a useful technique?

As Gary often says “choosing a movie that resonates with a problem forces the client to get specific about an issue.” So, for example, trying to collapse an issue of ‘lack of confidence’ we would be tapping using these words as a set-up for hours with generally little or no results being experienced.

But, if we work through a specific movie which resonates with ‘lack of confidence’ and tap on the kinesthetic feelings that arise, clearing all the negative aspects along the way and looking for, questioning and reframing the beliefs and decisions that appear, the results will be much better.

But, there are many other reasons why the movie technique is such a wonderful EFT tool.

When we undergo a traumatic incident, frequently we do so whilst in the flight and flight response (sympathetic mode) which, along with many other bodily consequences, means we process the event through our primitive hind brain, rather than through the higher intelligence of our frontal cortex.

Even so, the subconscious will have captured every aspect of the event, millions of bits of information are stored, every sight, sound, smell, taste and feeling.

The traumatic nature of these events and the resulting shift to sympathetic, has the effect of compressing the information and prevents us from adequately processing the event.

It appears that this is often when information gets trapped within our energy systems.

For whilst there is nothing wrong with experiencing emotions, as they all have their place in our lives and are what make us human, emotions should flow through our energy system (e-motion means energy in motion). Ideally, emotional freedom means, rather than a lack of emotion, freedom for the emotion to flow, to be experienced and then to let go of in a healthy manner.

Problems arise when the energy gets stuck in our meridian and other energy systems.

It takes a lot of energy to hold all this information in place and as we get older and our bodily and energy systems lose their resilience, so we struggle to hold onto this negative energy. Thus the information starts to leak, which can cause stress, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, depression and other forms of mental and physical dis-ease.

When we use the movie technique, we can allow the information to decompress and be processed as it should have been through the frontal cortex. Ultimately, we can then energetically let go of the negative energy.

But rather than carelessly going at the movies in a feet first, gung-ho fashion, it is therefore essential that the movies are accessed gently, keeping the client in parasympathetic mode at all times to fully allow the decompression of the information.

Watching Gary, a master of intuitive therapy, regardless of the apparent original severity of the movie, we notice he always uses the gentle techniques when dealing with these movies.

This allows the client to remain in parasympathetic mode, to fully facilitate the decompression, processing, and letting go of all aspects of the trauma.

Whilst some memories are all too vibrant and fresh in the mind at the onset, on many occasions EFT therapists and clients report memories that were originally cloudy, vague, obscure and contained low intensity levels become vibrant, with many emotions and aspects appearing as they slowly and gently work through the movies. This is a good measure of the decompression effect the movie technique.

Either way, of course, the discomfort can quickly be dealt with using EFT.

Again, varying from person to person and fascinating because of this non conformity as we apply EFT often the movies lose their colour, clarity and focus. We notice changes in association and disassociation, emotional intensity and kinaesthetic feelings disappear. All of which are signs of releasing the trapped energy.

Another benefit of letting go of these movie memories, are that whilst in place, like a moth to a light, we often find ourselves in repeating similar situations and events. We move from one job to avoid being bullied, only to find a similar bully waiting in our new job. We swap one abusive relationship for another. It appears whilst we keep this energy trapped in our systems, we will keep repeating the same situations. Maybe, trying to seek resolution?

Could it be that this energy (which like all the energy in the universe – is information) also attracts more events of the same nature into our lives by the law of attraction?

The Heartmath Institute conducted experiments that show we emit our movies (heart pictures) electromagnetically from our hearts and radiate this energy out up to 10 feet from our bodies, in a 360 degree circle, 24 hours a day. This energy is also many, many times more powerful than that emitted by our brains.

So having released and resolved this information through EFT, we can then stop being attracted too and attracting similar negative events into our lives. It’s also important to remember that for every traumatic movie resolved more vital energy will be released for other important bodily functions.

So keeping your personal peace procedures in mind, find an EFT partner to work with and start releasing these old detrimental, energy sapping movies. Focusing then on the positive will be a much easier task.

EFT and Childhood Beliefs

March 24, 2010
By admin

Parents often teach their young children beliefs to protect them, however, those beliefs often get carried over into adult lives where they no longer are helpful.

Recently, I worked with a woman, Laura, in her 30’s who had a hard time feeling comfortable in a group of strangers. Laura is a business woman and often had to meet with new clients. This issue was effecting her both personally and professionally. Her SUDS level was a 7. Initially, we tapped on the issue of shyness, which helped remove some of her discomfort- in essence, we cut off some of the branches of the tree. The more we tapped and talked, we discovered her core issue, which was “don’t talk to strangers”. She had been taught that by her parents when she was very young and didn’t realize that those words were still affecting her today. This new focus also brought her SUDS level back up.

Now, our real tapping work begun as we had to tap on her reversal as she subconsciously believed that “don’t talk to strangers” was keeping her safe, as well as, that her parents had taught her that.

We used a variation of “Even though I’m holding on to the belief I shouldn’t talk to strangers and I don’t want to let it go, I deeply and completely love and accept myself” as the reversal phrase and tapped three times to that.

Then we used variations of “Even though I believe I shouldn’t talk to strangers, I deeply and completely love and accept myself” as the set up phrase. The reminder phrase we used was, “It’s not safe to talk to strangers”. Later we switched to “I need to listen to my parents”. We overcame the issue of this belief keeping her safe, as well as, disobeying her parents through the tapping in one session. After we tested and were confidant that this issue had a SUDS of “0”, we then tapped in positive beliefs and behaviors that Laura wanted. One example is, as an adult she would be able to decide who it was safe to talk to.

I heard from Laura two days after our session. She mentioned that she was shopping the previous day and had gotten to the store 10 minutes before it had opened. Typically, she said, she would have waited in her car until the store had opened and then gone into shop. Instead, Laura said, it was a beautiful day, so, she decided to wait outside until the store opened. Interestingly enough, several other people decided to wait outside, as well. Before she knew it, she was engaging in conversation with one of them, and within a few minutes, what started as a conversation with one person, had turned into a lively group conversation of 8 people that she had initiated. Later that day, she had commented to herself how that had been an unusual experience for her- and then it dawned on her- her behavior and experience had changed due to the tapping.

Laura has contacted me several other times since our initial tapping session to relay stories of success demonstrating how she has become much more comfortable in social settings which has improved her job performance and made her happier in her personal life.

Tapping is so powerful at quickly helping people change core and childhood beliefs quickly and painlessly. I find that my clients get the most successful and lasting results when we’re able to deal with the reversal and any core issues that may come up.

Top 5 Reasons Why You Don’t Get Results with EFT

March 23, 2010
By admin

As a practitioner, EFT mentor, and trainer (over 2000 clients and students around the world) I can say that I consistantly see the same mistakes among tappers. The one thing I hear most often from a new client (even practitioners who are my clients) is that they just aren’t making progress and seeing really verifiable results out in the real world. The reasons are pretty basic if you’ve studied EFT for some time however I still see this so much I thought they were definitely worth repeating.

#1- You are still being too global/general. We know the metaphor for the forest or table top collapsing and still you want to do like the lazy baker’s son, “Killed 7 in one strike” Well, unfortunately most of the time you simply can’t. Break it down. Break it down. Break it down. The more traumatic (and don’t judge here what is trauma for the next guy as it is very unique to each individual) the more you might have to take it to miniscule pieces. This shows up in my work with veterans where we might have to break it down to,”Even though I heard the sound of the incoming bomb,..” then onto,”Even though I am terrified as I look at my buddy’s eyes ..” We could be tapping 15 min on one incident. How do you know you’ve made progress? TEST!

#2- You are heading to la-la land too quickly. Sure who doesn’t want to say beautiful, radiant, heart-felt, affirmations? Well when it comes to EFFECTIVELY using EFT you got to stay in the muck just a little bit first. I got another complaint the other day from someone who attends group meetings lead by another practitioner who does one round then has their group attendees immediately repeat a bunch of reframes like, I forgive, I let it go, I am over it. Bulls*it! You aren’t going to convince anyone that something that was profoundly wounding is going to wiped away so quickly. Yes, I use my intuition to gauge when someone is ready to insert the positive statements but that’s because I have been doing this for so long and I …. TEST! How many of us know really sweet, conscious, spiritual people that go around all day speaking nice platitudes and their lives are a mess? Don’t end up spreading icing on a pile of manure. In the end it still stinks!

#3- You aren’t recognizing shifting aspects. Now this one is tricky especially when working alone. Make sure your statements are very specific (see #1) and then write down what pops into your head if you have to in order to keep track of your mind as it skips from emotion to emotion and scene to scene. This is clearly an advantage to working with a professional for your own issues. I stop at the end of each round and sense a shifting aspect however when I first began I felt more comfortable just asking,”Was anything else popping into your mind as we did that round?” If the SUDs hasn’t dropped enough and you know you’ve been specific then 9 times out of 10 this is the culprit.

#4 – You don’t test enough. Gary says that this is the difference between a master and a novice and he’s right. Don’t be afraid to test your results. If you were successful it is simply great information. Rue Haas says that in order to be a great practitioner you have to be willing to be insatiably curious and being curious about why it didn’t work will cause you to become a better detective and helper.

#5- You are allowing your own blocks to get in the way of becoming masterful. I don’t even want to tell you how many times someone tells me a story about a condition, or situation and I’ve asked,”Well, did you tap on it?” and they give me a sheepish smile. The way to get the most from EFT is DOING EFT.

Bottom line- watch Gary Craig’s DVDs (www.emofree.com), read the free manual, or hire a professional with a proven track record.

Emotional Freedom Technique: Empowering Tool for Achieving Success in Everything!

March 23, 2010
By admin

Maybe by now you have heard the buzz about EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) but are not really sure what it is or what it’s used for. Emotional Freedom Technique is a simple, effective and powerful modality that is changing lives! It entails tapping on acupuncture meridian endpoints while experiencing or remembering a negative situation.

Basically, the premise of EFT is that all negative symptoms in our body, whether physical or emotional stem from unresolved emotional issues that are carried in our bodies’ electrical and nervous systems. Until we clear them out, they will cause unpleasant manifestations and can even prevent us from fully living the life we deserve. By tapping on the specific points while in the midst of, or remembering an event, one is clearing out the residual negative effects of the original trauma and the accompanying emotional and physical manifestations disappear. Imagine the benefits of acupuncture without the needles and imagine learning how to use this powerful tool yourself.

EFT is the brainchild of Gary Craig, a Stanford engineer who modified Dr. Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy. Craig explains that each issue is like a table top that is held in place by the legs of the table. As a trained practitioner taps on your present symptoms/condition and delves further to get to the root issue with intuition and questioning, specific events that constitute the legs of the table are neutralized. When a few of the legs are cleared, the entire table top collapses and the person experiences a sense of well-being, freedom and peace.

So what can EFT be used for? Over the years, trained practitioners have been getting curious, creative and bold, and have attempted EFT on just about anything and everything. The range includes negative emotions from anxiety to anger, physical symptoms like headaches or pain of any sort, allergies, relationship issues, sports performance enhancement, improved test scores and school performance, confidence, weight management, cravings and the like. You name it, tapping can usually help it! It is so powerful and effective that the word is spreading rapidly and great success is being achieved in surprising new arenas.

EFT can also be used to implant positive suggestions into your subconscious and is effective in boosting self-esteem and replacing self-limiting beliefs with new empowering ones. It’s effective in fostering forgiveness and releasing long-standing resentments that are usually detrimental to the one harboring them.

The workplace is another highly effective arena for the use of EFT. When employees are free of nagging physical symptoms and illnesses, they are happier and more productive in their work. Fostering camaraderie and good relationships between coworkers also leads to higher profits for businesses. Tapping both individually or in groups is very effective. Those reluctant to be the focus of attention or who are unaware of any negativity in their life, can tap along for someone else and reap the rewards through what is known in the field as “borrowing benefits.”

Did you ever stop to imagine what your life could and would be like if you didn’t have that nagging doubt about your ability to succeed? What about feeling hindered by a migraine or a fear of public speaking? Have you kept yourself from looking for a great relationship because your body doesn’t look the way you want it to? Do you have trouble getting motivated or sticking to a plan to achieve your goals? Many of us sabotage our dreams without really knowing why, and look to blame the “symptoms” when instead there is a root emotional block that is deeply ingrained in us. Removing it through tapping and learning how to make a paradigm shift are the keys to empowerment and choosing the life you want. The best laid intentions are only intentions until we find out what stands in the way of them coming to fruition.

Working with an EFT practitioner can be the first step towards living the life you truly desire. Instead of continuing in the same daily routine and learning to live with or accept the ailments that bother you, know that there is another way. Know that empowerment, joy and ease of living is your birthright and success can be yours. You can have a healthy body without deprivation of your favorite foods. Relationships can be harmonious and old wounds healed. Allergies and back pain don’t have to be part of your daily existence. Uncomfortable feelings around money, success and the good life can be neutralized. Depression and anger can easily be discharged within minutes, freeing you up to attract wonderful things into your life.

EFT is a powerful tool to guide you to the joyful prosperous life you deserve.

EFT Can Change Your Life!

March 23, 2010
By Leanna

A new therapeutic discovery that can change your life overnight!

I was sitting at a table on my front porch eating lunch when a large June bug came flying by, loudly buzzing my head. In the past I would have jumped up in fright and ran into the house, possibly spilling my lunch in my haste. But this time I calmly sat there, picked up a newspaper and swatted it away. Why such a drastic change in response? As long as I can remember I’ve had an intense fear of large flying bugs, and would run away from them whenever I could. But two years ago I discovered EFT, (Emotional Freedom Technique) and utilized its simple technique to cure myself overnight of this phobia. No one was more astounded and pleased at this change than I!

As a psychotherapist in private practice, I used this technique extensively and saw immediate, dramatic changes even in client’s who had deep-seated psychiatric issues they had not been able to overcome during years of therapy. EFT worked so quickly I was afraid I’d put myself out of business, but instead my practice grew as people referred their friends.

I remember a businessman who had such a fear of public speaking he felt almost paralyzed when his boss asked him to give a presentation at a forthcoming meeting. He came to my office stating he would rather quit his job than stand up before his colleagues and give a speech. A traditional therapist, especially one using psychoanalysis, might take years to determine the source of this fear, but Mr. Smith didn’t have that kind of time; he needed to change before next Monday. Utilizing EFT I was able to help him overcome his phobia in only two sessions, which amazed both of us!

TAPPING YOUR WAY TO FREEDOM
EFT is a new healing modality that requires no drugs or surgery and is now being widely used by a variety of professionals, from therapists to medical doctors, chiropractors to acupuncturists, and, for simple problems, the technique can even be self-taught and utilized. In less than 10 years, practitioners worldwide have marveled at its ingenious simplicity and accelerated means of transforming people’s lives, not only psychologically, but physically.

Dubbed “The Tapping Cure,” EFT is a revolutionary modality for rapid relief of an astonishing number of problems, such as phobias, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain reduction and insomnia. It usually takes only a few minutes to do, and
requires neither medication nor psychiatric intervention. And you don’t have to lie on a couch free-associating for months or years, exploring your childhood.

This new technique has a variety of names, but all are considered to be “Energy Therapies.” The basic premise of EFT is that “the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system,” and utilizing this modality will restore the system to perfect balance. It’s a modification of the healing method of acupressure but uses tapping with one’s fingers, instead of needles, to stimulate traditional Chinese acupuncture points. Tapping on the designated points on one’s face and neck is combined with verbalizing the identified problem, followed by an affirmation phrase. Deviating radically from traditional therapy, the technique seems somewhat bizarre, and no one really knows exactly why it works. but it is said to reset the circuits in a person’s nervous system, which become “stuck,” like a needle caught in the groove of a record, causing us to react inappropriately to certain stimuli. We tend to create emotional blocks as a way to bury painful feelings that we think we can’t handle. As a result, physical pain often develops in our muscles and joints, or we may develop emotional problems such as phobias and depression. EFT unlocks the blocks or resistances that are surrounding the pain so you can release it.

The original pioneer was a renowned chiropractor, George Goodheart, and then was promoted by a medical doctor, John Diamond, and psychologist Roger Callahan. Stanford engineer Gary Craig became involved and dramatically simplified and improved the technique, making it available, efficient and affordable to everyone. The EFT manual is free and can be downloaded at www.emofree.com. Professional people may wish to have more in-depth training at one of Craig’s seminars, or purchase his training videos. At Craig’s internet site one can read hundreds of stories of people who have used EFT to successfully overcome an astonishing variety of problems. The possible issues that can be helped by EFT are endless, including emotional and physical pain. The power of these simple techniques is phenomenal and may be easily mastered by anyone, such as therapists, ministers, coaches and even laypersons.

HELP FOR PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS
Dr. Fred Feldstein reports a case on the “emofree” website of a woman who got poison ivy all over her body and was continuously itching, particularly on her legs. He had her start by saying “Even though I have this severe itching on my leg from poison ivy I am now allowing my body to rapidly heal itself.” After only one round of EFT she didn’t feel the itching anymore, but it came back in the middle of the night. She then repeated the tapping points herself, and it went away immediately, and never returned.

Dr Patricia Carrington, Ph.D., an EFT Master and professor at Princeton University, (ww.masteringeft.com) reports a case of helping an insomniac get to sleep with the phrase: “Even though I have trouble going to sleep, I choose to feel pleasantly drowsy and can drift off into sleep whenever I’m ready.” She stresses you should not tell yourself to go to sleep because this can hook our natural resistance to being told what to do.

THE BASIC RECIPE
EFT consists of four ingredients: 1. The Setup; 2. The Sequence; 3. The 9 Gamut Procedure and 4. The Sequence Repeated.

The Setup consists of a sentence that prepares your energy system for the rest of the Basic Recipe, like preparing the basic ingredients for baking a cake. Instead of denying you have a particular problem, or refusing to face it, the Setup consists of a sentence where you acknowledge your problem, and is followed by a positive affirmation such as “I deeply and completely accept myself or, “I now choose to do….”

The general format is: “Even though I…..” which is a declaration of the problem, and the second half of the sentence is something like: “I deeply and completely accept myself,” or a positive affirmation about the outcome.

Here are some examples of the Setup phrase:
Even though I have a fear of heights, I now choose to enjoy being in high places.
Even though I have this depression, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I have this stiffness in my neck, I now choose to let go of it.
Even though I feel guilty because —– I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I have these nightmares, I now choose to have sleep peacefully every night.

Or a variation could be: I love and accept myself even though I have this fear of public speaking. The Setup phrase can be modified to suit the particular person and problem, such as “I can never forgive myself for..” or: “Whenever I see him I feel…”
To add to the effectiveness of the affirmation, it also includes the simultaneous rubbing of a “Sore Spot,” on the upper chest, or a tapping on the “Karate Chop” point.

THE SEQUENCE
The heart of the procedure involves tapping about seven times with the tips of your index and middle fingers on each of the eight tapping points. Rather than attempt to describe these points here, I recommend you get Gary Craig’s book The EFT Manual, published by Energy Psychology Press, which includes illustrations that will guide you in locating the correct meridian locations. There are also a number of good books listed on Amazon that describe the procedure and give examples of how to use it. One that’s particularly helpful is “The Tapping Cure,” by Roberta Temes, which has illustrations and gives many explicit descriptions of how it can be used.

FROM PAIN CONTROL TO BROKEN HEARTS

Here are a few examples of the effective use of EFT:

The motto of EFT is “try it on everything!” So I decided to try the method with a girlfriend whose boyfriend had suddenly dumped her and she said her heart was broken. We came up with several phrases: “Even though John left me I deeply love and accept myself.” “Even though I feel my heart is broken, I deeply love and accept myself.”
“Even though I can’t think about John without feeling sad, I now choose to let go of my grief knowing someone better will come along.” The pain was so intense, and my friend was sobbing so much that I did the tapping for her. At the end of four rounds there were no more tears and she assured me she was starting to feel OK about the rejection. I told her to do a few more rounds before she went to sleep that night, and the next morning we did a final round of “I am now letting go of the grief I felt about John rejecting me and I know there’s a better person out there for me.” Overnight she had let go of sadness and grief that could have depressed her for months, and had thought of several reasons why John wasn’t the right man for her.

A mother wrote: “My son injured himself while playing basketball and couldn’t lift his arm. I could see it was inflamed and bruised from the shoulder to his wrist. I guided him in doing a round of EFT with the phrase “Even though I hurt my arm, I now choose to have the pain disappear.” One round and the pain was gone! We were both amazed! The next day it was still gone but he did another round just to reinforce it, and couldn’t wait to teach this method to his teammates.”

A mother brought her daughter to see me because she was failing in math and had to pass the course to graduate. “Marcy had deep-seated negative programming about the ability of girl’s to be competent in math, and had trouble with it throughout her school years. While tapping, I had her repeat “Even though I believe girls don’t have the brains to do math, I feel confident of my own ability.” We did two rounds on this and then switched to “Even though I’ve had trouble with math in the past, I now choose to let go of the mental barriers that have prevented me from succeeding.” After just one more session she declared she really felt she had the ability to do the course work and had been held back by old concepts.” That’s all it took! Marcy passed the course successfully and graduated!

You can find a trained EFT Master at the emofree web site.
